Creating with wood has so many variables. You never know what will happen with each piece of wood obtained; as it has it’s own characteristics. It takes about a year to make each piece. Green wood gets turned and then sits to dry. After it’s dry it’s returned to the lathe and turned to it’s final shape. Segmented pieces take a long time to glue, layer up and then turn. Will it fall apart on the lathe? What will the final product look like? Note to locals: We truly do appreciate the pieces of wood you give to Terry as wood costs a fortune these days.
